The "Gray" Market for Medical Products: An Invisible Demographic Threat and Tools to Overcome It
The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a roundtable discussion on "Comprehensive Demographic Development Strategies: Supporting Families and Population Growth in Current Conditions." Evgenia Zinovieva, MD, Chair of the AICCMP, discussed tools for combating the volatile demographic threat—the "gray" market for medical products.
One of the key points of the presentation was the interim results of the educational project "Safe Beauty as the Foundation for Women's Health and Quality of Life," implemented by the SDSZHR SR and the AICCMP. This project aims to protect consumers, contributors, and manufacturers, and to raise public awareness about the quality of medical products and services.
The "MedInspector" public regulation system, available on Telegram and Max, allows users to receive up-to-date information on the safety and quality of medical products and report violations.
The "Original Product Support Technology" includes an indicator protected by anti-Stokes compounds and a banknote indicator. This indicator has several levels of protection, significantly reducing the risk of counterfeiting on the market and protecting the interests of not only consumers but also reputable manufacturers and distributors.
The roundtable participants expressed confidence that joint efforts will reduce the influence of the gray market and improve women's quality of life through access to safe cosmetic and medical products, as well as create a safe environment for consumers and support for honest players in the medical market.
