The AICCMP meeting brought together leaders of the aesthetic medicine market and representatives of the legislative and executive authorities on one platform for an open dialogue on the challenges posed by the shadow and illegal market, as well as for the development of practical measures to combat the illegal circulation of cosmetic products, equipment, and botulinum toxins.
As part of the event, a partnership agreement was signed between the Association of Importers of Cosmetological, Cosmetic, and Medical Products and the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), the operator of the national product labeling system *Chestny ZNAK*. This agreement marks the practical launch of a shared mission to implement product transparency and traceability, both through the national *Chestny ZNAK* labeling system and through the “Product Authenticity Support Technology” developed by AICCMP experts.
In an atmosphere of open discussion and constructive cooperation, participants confirmed their shared readiness for joint action.
Following the meeting, participants reached a unified conclusion: effective protection against the “grey” market is only possible through close cooperation between legislators, regulatory authorities, and businesses united within an industry association.
It was decided to further develop AICCMP as a “public oversight” platform for collecting appeals, identifying violations, and promptly addressing industry issues. Based on the outcomes of the meeting, a package of proposals will be prepared for relevant ministries and agencies with the aim of accelerating the introduction of new control measures and strengthening liability for those who place profit above patient safety and fair business practices—causing damage to national security and fair competition. It is also planned to continue educational efforts to raise public awareness of the risks associated with the “grey” market and consumer rights.
We thank all participants for their active involvement.
